Ambassador Erin Kennedy Awarded OBE for Services to Rowing and Breast Cancer Awareness
We are thrilled to share the wonderful news that our Ambassador, Erin Kennedy, has been awarded an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for her outstanding services to rowing and for raising awareness of breast cancer.
The honour was presented by HRH Princess Anne, who recalled awarding Erin her MBE in 2022. With a smile, she remarked, “You’ve been busy” – a sentiment that perfectly captures Erin’s tireless dedication and remarkable achievements since then.
We continue to be inspired by Erin’s unwavering commitment, passion, and advocacy. Whether on the water or off, she exemplifies resilience and purpose in all she does.
Reflecting on the honour, Erin said:
“It is called an honour because, well, it really is an honour. Receiving it for services to rowing and breast cancer awareness has made me prouder than I can say. Sport has given me so much as a person, but it has also blessed me with a platform from which I can spread the message that so many women need to hear about early detection. Not only that, but life with cancer is still fulfilling, beautiful, and full of joy.”
Later in the day, Erin hosted a celebration evening surrounded by her closest friends and family. We were delighted that our Marketing Manager, Frankie, was proudly in attendance to share in the joy of such a special occasion.
We are proud to stand alongside Erin and celebrate this well-deserved recognition.
