Tom Ellis Racing opens their stables as part of National Racehorse week!

Our sponsored yard Tom Ellis Racing opened their stables on Tuesday 10th September as part of National Racehorse Week. This initiative now in its fourth year is designed to encourage the public to see behind the scenes of racing stables.

The yard welcomed over 75 people a lot having never visited a racing yard. The yard put on various activities including showing the horses on the gallops, jumping horses in the school, a farrier display, and a tour of the yard.

Tom Ellis said, ‘ We were thrilled with the numbers who visited our yard, it was great to let them see firsthand how we train our horses and prepare them to race, I spoke with many people who had never been to a yard, and we were delighted to welcome them to Heath Barn.’
